What You’ll Be Doing: 

Join us as a Part-Time Tax Manager – Compliance Lead (3 days per week) and play a key role in keeping our tax operations running smoothly across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage critical compliance activities, from income tax, GST, and FBT obligations to tax effect accounting and governance processes. You’ll also get involved in R&D tax claims, tax registrations, and ensure every lodgement is accurate and on time.

Your day-to-day will include preparing and lodging tax returns, reviewing GST compliance and BAS reporting, fringe benefits tax compliance, reviewing monthly tax effect accounting calculations and preparing Tax Notes in statutory accounts for Australia and New Zealand. Beyond compliance, you’ll drive process improvements, help automate tax procedures, and maintain clear documentation to strengthen governance. You’ll also provide valuable insights from compliance activities and support broader tax projects, making a real impact on how we operate.

What We’re Looking for: 

  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce or Law, with CA/CPA accreditation.
  • Previous experience in corporate tax or professional accounting firm, ideally with exposure to New Zealand tax compliance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of income tax, GST, fringe benefits tax, and practical tax effect accounting.
  • Ability to work independently, apply initiative, and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborative team player, who will work with two Tax Managers to support the Regional Tax Manager – Pacific.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex tax concepts in simple terms across all levels.
  • Proficient in technology and business systems; experience with Onestream, SAP, and Tax Automate desirable.
  • Skilled at staying ahead of tax and accounting developments, providing accurate advice to mitigate financial risk.
