What You'll Be Doing
Do you enjoy diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and working directly with customers? We're looking for a hands-on technical professional to become the trusted spray equipment expert across the Northern Region. The role combines workshop-based repairs with customer training, demonstrations, and field support, offering plenty of variety and autonomy.
Based primarily from our Onehunga service centre, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing spray equipment used by professional painters and trade customers. You'll also support customer training, product demonstrations, and equipment recommendations while building strong relationships across our store network and customer base.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and repair commercial spray equipment.
- Complete warranty repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Deliver product demonstrations and customer training sessions.
- Support stores and customers with equipment advice and technical expertise.
- Identify equipment upgrade opportunities and provide product recommendations.
- Assist with regional sales initiatives, roadshows, and promotional activities
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a mechanically minded professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for delivering great customer service. You don't need previous spray equipment experience, but you will bring a proven ability to diagnose faults, repair technical equipment, and confidently engage with customers.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing equipment, machinery, or tools
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform basic electrical fault finding
- Confidence communicating with customers and explaining technical concepts in simple terms
- A practical, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and self-management skills
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction
