What You’ll Be Doing: 

The Maintenance Fitter plays an important hands-on role in supporting safe, reliable and efficient site performance through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and practical mechanical improvement work. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, this role helps keep the Wyong manufacturing site running effectively by maintaining plant and equipment, fabricating and repairing parts where needed, and contributing to continuous improvement across the site. It is well suited to someone who takes pride in quality work, works well as part of a team, and enjoys being close to the action in a manufacturing environment.

What We’re Looking for: 

  • Trade qualified fitter with hands-on experience in manufacturing, industrial or process environments, including preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding capability, with practical knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and related site equipment.
  • Competent in fabrication and repair work, including welding stainless steel and modifying components to support safe and reliable operations.
  • A strong commitment to safe work practices, with experience working within permit, isolation and compliance requirements in a high-risk environment.
  • Reliable, adaptable and team oriented, with the ability to work independently, respond to changing site priorities and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Someone who communicates clearly, takes ownership of their work and builds positive working relationships with operators, contractors and the wider maintenance team.
