About Us

Proudly part of the DuluxGroup, Selleys has been part of New Zealand homes and worksites for over 50 years. From a small workshop to a market leader in adhesives, sealants and fillers, our products are household names trusted by trade professionals and DIYers alike.

At Selleys, we think differently, work collaboratively, and get things done.  We're a fast-paced, supportive culture where you can grow your career across diverse roles and iconic brands.

If you’re ready to make an impact with a brand that’s respected, innovative and expanding globally, we’d love to have you on our growth journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing a well‑established group of customers across Christchurch, Blenheim, Nelson, Takaka and the West Coast. The focus is on deepening relationships, growing share of wallet and executing strong in‑store and account plans – not hunting for new business.

You’ll work closely with major retail partners as well as independent hardware and trade customers, representing one of New Zealand’s most trusted brands.

If you’re looking for a varied, relationship‑driven territory role with a strong brand and an established customer base, we’d love to hear from you.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing accounts across your territory
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships
  • Manage major retail accounts including large format stores
  • Use sales data and insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Execute promotional and ranging initiatives in‑store
  • Plan and manage your territory autonomously, including travel
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and national account support

Our Benefits

  • Opportunities to work flexibly at all stages of your career
  • Enjoy comprehensive, holistic health and well-being support, including our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
  • Let us support you with Life, total permanent disability and Health Insurance (medical and surgical cover)
  • Give back to the communities in which we live and work, with our “Community Action Day” and other programs
  • Market leading Learning and Development initiatives and genuine career pathways to accelerate your growth
  • 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) topped up to your normal pay and 2 weeks paid partner leave available from 6 months onwards
  • We will match up to 4% of your salary to Kiwisaver
  • Feel truly valued through our employee recognition programs
  • Enjoy generous discounts on DuluxGroup products and through our corporate partnerships

What We’re Looking for

You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll bring:

  • Experience in sales or account management, ideally within hardware, FMCG, trade or retail‑aligned industries
  • Strong relationship‑building skills
  • Confidence working independently and autonomously
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to use data and analytics to manage performance
  • High energy, initiative and a collaborative team approach
  • A stable work history and long‑term mindset

This is a farming role, so experience and enjoyment in managing and growing existing customer relationships is essential.
