Your role
Join our Selleys Operations team as a Senior Production Manager and take ownership of a variety of key functions in one of our largest manufacturing sites, based in Padstow, NSW. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and as an integral member of the site leadership team, leading a team of up to 70 people, this role will be accountable for the day-to-day manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will lead the site manufacturing team to deliver to operational targets on-time/in-full, at the right quality in a safe environment, focusing on delivery, cost and employee engagement. This role provides support to both Production and Warehousing teams to ensure effectiveness in making sealants, adhesives, and fillers in a semi-automated production environment. The successful candidate will drive with a continuous improvement mindset, always looking to maximise the company's talents and assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production meetings focusing on achieving schedule adherence, quality, cost, material usage and productivity targets
- Train and coach staff including engaging in regular, constructive conversations around performance
- Monitor rosters/hours of work to ensure manufacturing costs are within target
- Ensure optimal management of raw materials, packaging inventory; weekly staging and efficient management of changeovers
- Demonstrate and promote a strong safety culture by leading compliance with site protocols, ensuring team accountability, identifying and mitigating hazards
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar manufacturing environment
- Exposure to managing financial budgets
- Ability to lead and develop a team across multiple shifts (6am and 9am starts)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence different stakeholders across the business
- Ability to develop and document operating procedures
- Technologically adept with strong computer skills
- Strong safety focus with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
