Are you a hands-on leader passionate about safety, quality, and continuous improvement? We’re seeking a dynamic and driven Production Manager to guide our Powders production team at our Dandenong South site. This is a critical role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a thriving manufacturing environment, where your leadership will empower teams to deliver outstanding results. You’ll influence business direction, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and be part of a positive, diverse workplace.

The Dandenong South site manufactures a variety of high-performance Dulux powder coating solutions for a wide range of industries and are committed to sustainability, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction, which our production teams take great pride in!

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and Develop Teams: Coordinate daily and weekly meetings, drive performance, and foster a culture of collaboration and growth
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Set the standard for safe work practices, ensure compliance, and drive quality outcomes for our customers
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause problem-solving, implement process enhancements, and contribute to site-wide initiatives
  • Manage Operations: Oversee site management activities, support maintenance objectives, and manage contractors and risk assessments
  • Grow Talent: Coach, train, and develop a team of ~25 staff, maintaining skills matrices and development plans

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in a production role - ideally in manufacturing, but we welcome candidates from other industries
  • Strong communication, self-motivation, and a proactive, self-starter attitude
  • Attention to detail and process adherence
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills in a team environment
  • Experience in developing and documenting operating procedures
  • Technologically adept with strong computer skills
  • Strong safety focus with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment 
  • Qualifications and experience in continuous improvement is desirable
