The Opportunity

Join the team at our Lincoln Sentry site in Bayswater, VIC as our next Trade Centre Supervisor and ensure the smooth running of our store through a range of customer, staff, and results focused responsibilities.

Day to day you’ll be managing our Trade Centre branch which is attached to the warehouse. The role ensures the store, its people, its range and set up is targeted at optimising the branch and ensuring a customer service experience which builds high market share within its location. It is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for staff and customers alike. This role will also work closely with the Warehouse Supervisors and DC Manager to ensure collaboration between the branch and warehouse is achieved.

  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships by providing exemplary customer service
  • Control cost through productivity of personnel;
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures;
  • Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping and
  • Ensure effective end of day banking procedures are implemented and maintained;
  • Monitor performance against budgets via profit and loss reporting and adjust branch activities to achieve budgeted targets;
  • Assist the team with receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, transport coordination and delivery tracking for delayed orders as required.
  • Outbound call activities as requested and planned within the branch
  • Participate in cycle counts and stock takes
  • Ensure processing of all orders, credits for both the trade centre and the DC or database work is completed quickly and efficiently
  • Follow through on any customer complaints or issues, escalating as required.
  • Work & lead the Branch in a safe & responsible Manner
  • Ensure team compliance to all S&S processes and policies 

Please note this role will see you working Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm

What you will bring and develop

This is a busy role, so you’ll need to be reliable, committed and have great attention to detail to succeed. As an engaged and proactive team player you’ll pick things up quickly and won’t be afraid to step up when things get tough.

  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Leadership skills or be ready to step up into a supervisory role
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Pick/packing and warehousing experience is preferred
  • Good computer skills
  • A good level of physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 20kgs
  • High numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
  • Trade/retail sales experience preferred but not required

A current VIC Driver License is required for this role and a Forklift License is desirable, but not mandatory.
