What You'll Be Doing
Lead Acratex’s national commercial strategy and shape the future of the business. As National Commercial Manager, you will drive sustainable sales and profit growth by translating market insights into clear commercial priorities, leading the specification and training functions, and building strong partnerships across customers, stakeholders, and internal teams. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening market influence, developing capability, and ensuring commercial opportunities are converted into long-term business success.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially driven leader who can balance growth with governance. You will oversee specification, compliance, and certification activities, ensuring technical recommendations meet regulatory and warranty requirements while managing risk responsibly. Working closely with state teams and key stakeholders, you will lead the commercial project pipeline, enhance execution excellence, and deliver strategic outcomes that strengthen Acratex's market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the national commercial strategy, identifying market trends and growth opportunities to deliver sustainable sales, profit, and market share growth.
- Lead the national specification pipeline, ensuring opportunities are qualified, prioritised, and converted into commercial outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement.
- Drive training and capability development across internal teams and customers through technical training programs, CPD presentations, and industry engagement initiatives.
- Oversee specification, certification, and compliance governance, ensuring products, systems, and documentation meet regulatory, technical, and warranty requirements.
- Lead, coach, and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver aligned national priorities, strengthen market presence, and achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For
- Significant commercial leadership experience within the building products, construction, coatings, or related industries.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategy, drive business growth, and deliver results through cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading specification, technical, training, compliance, or related commercial functions.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and financial analysis skills, with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability, including coaching, performance management, and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; however, equivalent industry experience and a proven track record of success will be highly regarded.
