What You’ll Be Doing

We're looking for a commercially driven Architectural Specification Consultant to join our Dulux team in Auckland. This is more than a traditional specification role. We're seeking an experienced relationship builder and business developer who can influence key stakeholders, identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle, and become a trusted partner to the architectural community. This role has genuine succession potential and the opportunity to evolve into a broader leadership position over time

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with architects, designers and specifiers across Auckland
  • Influence product specifications and identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle
  • Deliver customer presentations, CPDs and product recommendations
  • Manage a pipeline of projects, leads and customer activity through CRM
  • Drive new business growth while uncovering opportunities across the broader DuluxGroup portfolio

Our Benefits

  • Let us support you with Life, total permanent disability and Health Insurance
  • Exclusive discounts on DuluxGroup products and partner offers
  • We will match up to 4% of your salary to Kiwisaver
  • 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) and 2 weeks partner leave
  • Market leading learning, development and career pathways
  • Access to our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
  • Recognition programs that celebrate your impact

What we're looking for

You might come from building products, construction, technical sales or another project-based B2B environment. What's most important is your ability to build relationships, create opportunities and drive outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • Proven success in B2B sales or business development
  • A strong hunter mentality and proactive approach to winning new business
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong planning, organisation and territory management capability
  • Confidence managing multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
  • A commercially minded, self-motivated approach
