What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving profitable market share growth across NSW by developing and managing strategic relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 commercial builders. You’ll implement the national commercial strategy at a state level, generating specifications, converting projects to sales, and growing the Dulux Group portfolio across decorative paints, protective coatings, textures, woodcare and associated systems. Operating primarily on-site, you will work closely with builders, project managers, architects, commercial painters and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, influence specifications, and support projects through to completion. You’ll manage an active pipeline of projects and customers, conduct regular customer visits, develop strategic alliances, and use CRM tools to track activity and performance.

What We’re Looking for:

  • Proven experience in business development or account management within commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of builder decision-making processes and project lifecycles
  • Ability to generate and manage specifications and navigate construction site environments
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to balance existing accounts and new business
  • Solid technical understanding of coatings or related construction products (desirable)
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing multiple projects concurrently
