About the role 

We’re seeking a Customer Marketing Analyst who is passionate about data and driven by the desire to make a difference. As a vital member of our team, you’ll be the maestro of market information, ensuring that data is not just collected but sings to us in a way that informs the wide team to make decisions.

The role manages important information such as sales out, sales in, competitor and market intel. It also aims to improve and streamline the process to make sure we are using our data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll dive deep into category and market information, ensuring it’s efficiently accessible and understandable.
  • Your weekly and monthly insights will illuminate key areas of our business, guiding us with your data-driven torch.
  • Play a key role in migrating existing reports from Business Objects to PowerBI or an alternative database solution.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing a suite of reports as well as producing on demand reports and insights as required.
  • Keep improving how data is presented so that Channel Business Managers, National Account Managers, Marketing & Brand Managers and Field Force Representatives can quickly get and use information in a format that helps them monitor business performance and make decisions easily.
  • Maintain the communication with outside agencies. This involves asking for adjustments to our programs, finding and fixing data mistakes, and controlling the budget.

Skills & Experience

  • Must have an excellent practical understanding of complex data manipulation, report design, and generation
  • PowerBI report building and Excel skills
  • Retailing commercial acumen (understanding of profitability drivers for retailers) is advantageous.
  • Tertiary education is highly desirable
