Your role:

Dulux is excited to offer a rare opportunity for an inspiring and experienced Sales Leader to join our inclusive and supportive Trade team. As the State Sales Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, you’ll lead a talented group of Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Representatives — shaping a collaborative, high-performing culture and driving growth across multiple customer channels.

Reporting to the Sales Director – Trade, you’ll provide hands-on leadership to a team of 35, guiding them through clear strategy, mentoring, and empowerment. You’ll bring people together to achieve ambitious goals while championing professional development, innovation, and success across our trade network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and coach a team of Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets and drive growth.
  • Develop and execute state-level sales strategies to expand market share across New Construction, Commercial Maintenance, and Residential Repaint segments.
  • Use CRM and sales data to identify opportunities, improve performance, and drive business innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across trade-facing teams to align on growth strategies and celebrate collective achievements.
  • Champion capability development, mentoring, and inclusion within the sales team to build future leaders.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success leading, coaching, and motivating high-performing sales teams across diverse customer channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute effective state-wide business and sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, and driving financial performance.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools and sales insights to guide decision-making.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field, supported by hands-on field sales and leadership experience.
