About the role

Reporting to the NSW State Residential Manager, this role is responsible for establishing effective, sustainable, profitable and mutually beneficial business relationships with new home builders and residential developers, to secure profitable growth, improve business position and market share of Dulux Decorative Paints and DuluxGroup (DG) business units and brands as part of the Trade Growth Strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will ensure a high level customer engagement is achieved to create an environment where residential housing builders understand the full value and advantage of having DuluxGroup products and services on the houses they are producing. You’ll thrive on generating new business opportunities through strategic initiatives whilst nurturing relationships with existing and potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • New business development, tailoring Dulux’s key value propositions to grow our market share within new housing
  • Developing key industry relationships and market intelligence via networking
  • Management of key account plans with existing and targeted volume builders; ensuring that Dulux Group paint specs are adhered to 
  • Leading presentations, business reviews and training to builder groups
  • Management of existing accounts; delivering business reviews
  • Influence and coordination of trade sales teams and other internal stakeholders

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the new housing or associated industries
  • Proven business development and account management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sales through existing and new customers
  • An ability to engage and create professional relationships at various levels
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
