Selleys Trade is expanding into a new strategic market in the Bus, Truck, Rail and Marine sectors and we’re looking for a highly skilled technical and sales driven National Business Development Manager who is passionate about building something from the ground up in this newly created role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead market development across the OEM automotive sector, focusing on bus, truck and rail manufacturers including marine
- Identify, engage and grow new customer accounts across engineering, quality, design, and procurement teams
- Work with technical partners to establish the right technical solutions and product portfolio to enable growth in the BTR market across ANZ
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover trends and opportunities
- Demonstrate and trial products with customers across office, lab, and production environments
- Provide technical expertise and support to drive product evaluation, approval and adoption
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing and sales teams to deliver high‑value, technically advantaged solutions

What We’re Looking for
- Background supporting OEM automotive, rail, bus, marine or similar manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to develop new markets and win new business
- Strong knowledge of sealants, adhesives or comparable engineered materials
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities
- Ability to work hands‑on with customers during testing, evaluation and approval stages
- Flexibility to travel interstate on a regular basis
- Significant experience in technical product application, technical sales, product development, or a specification role
- Tertiary education in Engineering, Business or Marketing and/or equivalent experience
