About Us
For over a century, our Paints & Coatings brands have helped shape the homes, buildings, and infrastructure that define Australia and New Zealand. From protecting iconic landmarks to adding colour to everyday spaces, our work makes a lasting impact.
Proudly part of the DuluxGroup and home to some of the region’s most trusted and beloved brands including Dulux, Berger, Acratex, British Paints, and Porter’s Paints - you’ll be joining a team of passionate people globally who are proud to create, innovate, and lead.
We’re consistently recognised as one of ANZ’s most trusted brands, and we’re committed to building better futures - for our customers, our communities, and our people.
What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Category Manager to lead complex categories across a multi‑channel, ANZ business. This is a senior, influential role where success is driven by problem‑solving ability, stakeholder leadership, and people leadership — not just category experience.
If you enjoy working in complexity, bringing clarity to competing priorities, and leading teams through change, this role will suit you.
As Senior Category Manager, you’ll own category strategy and delivery across retail, trade, and commercial channels. You’ll lead a team of Category Managers and work closely with stakeholders across marketing, retail, trade, manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D to translate diverse inputs into clear, commercial outcomes.
This is a role for someone who can connect the dots, influence without authority, and confidently make decisions in environments where priorities aren’t always aligned.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver category strategy across retail, trade and commercial channels
- Manage, coach and develop a team of Category Managers (including remote leadership)
- Drive complex category initiatives with cross‑functional ANZ stakeholders
- Prioritise competing demands and turn complexity into clear, executable plans
- Build strong relationships across marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and R&D
Our Benefits
- Let us support you with Life, total permanent disability and Health Insurance
- Exclusive discounts on DuluxGroup products and partner offers
- We will match up to 4% of your salary to Kiwisaver
- 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) and 2 weeks partner leave
- Market leading learning, development and career pathways
- Access to our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
- Recognition programs that celebrate your impact
What we're looking for
We’re open on industry background. What matters most is how you think and how you lead.
- Bachelor Degree, ideally in Marketing / Business Management
- Experience working with complex categories and multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to retail and/or trade‑facing environments
- Strong problem‑solving and prioritisation capability
- Proven people leadership and coaching experience
- Confidence influencing senior and cross‑functional stakeholders
- Experience within, or strong exposure to, manufacturing or supply‑chain‑led environments (highly advantageous)
Why join us?
