Dulux Powder Coatings specifically focuses on providing high-quality powder coatings for various applications, including residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

Your role

Reporting to a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for the administration and planning activities to support the dedicated small batch custom colour service at the Dandenong South powders site. This includes creating and loading new product codes, raising process orders, planning and maintaining production schedules, batch tracking for customer info, and arranging product deliveries. The role also includes the purchasing of raw materials and packaging to meet factory requirements, as well as managing master data (safety stock levels).

Pivotal to your success in this role will be your ability to effectively manage all new small batch order requests once they have been approved by the Customer, correctly prioritise and manage the process flow and production planning activities, in line with achieving the results required by the business, focusing on safety, quality, efficiency and on time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise process orders for all MTO orders for ANZ
  • Develop production plans and schedules to meet service requirements confirmed through Sales and Operations Planning, and in line with Customer expected lead times and priorities
  • Develop complete understanding of plant production constraints to ensure production schedules are optimised, including clean-downs and colour/technology compatibility
  • Working with the Site Supply Chain Planner, communicate & resolve in a timely manner, any issues around supply of raw materials/packaging affecting the schedule and order lead time
  • Close out and complete all relevant paperwork and systems to finish the production orders, sales documents including updating information in ERP system – SAP
  • Effectively develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth purchase and delivery of raw materials and work with them to improve their supply process

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical field, ideally supply chain related discipline
  • 2 + years experience in manufacturing supply chain environments including planning and purchasing
  • Ability to drive and apply continuous process improvement tools
  • Able to use systematic data analysis techniques to predict and plan for future production requirements
  • Highly proficient understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
