About the Role

We have a unique opportunity for a high performing NZ Retail Sales Manager to play a critical leadership role within DuluxGroup. Playing a key role in the leadership team and reporting directly to the GM Dulux New Zealand, your core role will be to grow the Dulux Retail business and develop the National Retail Sales Strategy and lead the achievement and advancement of market share, sales profitability, and financial performance targets. This position sets the agenda for the Sales team and delivers through strong leadership and delivering on key accountabilities for the Retail Business. This role is responsible for developing and promoting a high-performance team.

This role oversees the strategic development, deployment, and daily management of NZ’s Retail Paint & Woodcare business. The role is a key leader in the Decorative Retail segments of the NZ Paint industry. The sales team directly engages with customers and consumers to drive revenues and profits. It also regularly interacts and has a requirement to influence peers and senior management in Dulux Retail and Cabot’s Australia to establish the overall retail channel and customer strategy for the NZ market and its execution through the Retail Field Sales team.

Skills and Experience

A strong and collaborative leader, you will provide influential leadership to both direct and indirect reports and extend a culture of inclusion, ownership, success, and excellence. You will also have extensive experience leading a team at a national level.

We are looking for someone with a commercial growth mindset and results orientation, with your ear to the ground, you will maintain ongoing and effective relationships with key customers, industry groups and associations. You will be confident partnering with internal and external stakeholders in order to develop and deliver new strategies, ideas and processes.
