What You’ll Be Doing: 

As a Technical Sales Representative – Protective Coatings, you will be responsible for driving growth across the Dulux Protective Coatings portfolio by building strong relationships and influencing buying decisions. Based in Newcastle, you’ll spend your time on the road visiting customers throughout the Newcastle, Hunter Region, and Mid North Coast, generating new leads, growing the customer base, and delivering outstanding service to existing customers. You will work to a structured call plan, track and manage sales activity through CRM, and support customers by upskilling them on product application and performance. The role includes occasional regional travel and monthly trips to Sydney for sales meetings.

 What We’re Looking for: 

  • A proactive sales professional who can generate leads and grow our customer base within the paints and coatings market
  • Strong focus on delivering outstanding service and building lasting relationships with existing customers
  • Disciplined and organised, with the ability to plan calls, manage activity, and track performance through CRM
  • Confident in identifying new business opportunities and converting them into sales growth
  • Passion for upskilling customers on product application and performance
  • Proven sales experience, backed by strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with the drive to succeed in a target‑focused environment
  • Experience or knowledge of the painting industry and/or protective coatings is advantageous, but not essential
