Your Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and building lasting client relationships? B&D New Zealand is looking for a dynamic National Key Account Manager to lead our engagement with top-tier clients across the country. In this role you will champion profitable growth in national builder, commercial, and prefab channels.

This is a varied and high impact role with a great deal of autonomy, however within your average week you can expect to:

  • Lead growth strategy by developing robust relationships with stakeholders in our national builder, commercial and pre-fabrication accounts
  • Execute B&D’s business strategies, creating demand and sales to meet sales targets and KPI’s
  • Work together with our internal sales team and dealer customers to provide strategic direction, coaching and mentoring

Skills and Experience

Relationships play a big part in this role, so you’ll need to have strong influencing skills and the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders to excel. With your calm and strategic approach, you’ll have an adaptable nature and will be able to delegate and coordinate activity for others. Strong time management and excellent communication skills are also crucial to ensure success.

  • Proven experience developing large national account, preferably within the building industry
  • Solid experience working within the B2B sales and practical knowledge of retailer/business/franchise/merchant models
  • A strong commercial acumen and the ability to problem solve on your feet
  • Exposure to mentoring or coaching a sales team
