Your Role
As the successful Sales Representative in this highly autonomous role, your key focus will be servicing, maintaining, and growing the existing Dulux customer base. You will be given a current Dulux portfolio to develop and get continued buy-in from customers with the expectation to expand this portfolio, and for this, you will be rewarded.
You will spend most of your time on the road visiting customers on-site, building on existing relationships and seeking out new potential clients covering Dunedin and the Otago region, creating professional and positive relationships, gaining sales, influencing buying habits, and upselling our customers premium brands.
When not out and about, you’ll be planning for the days ahead, collaborating with the Dulux Trade Centres and Guthrie Bowron stores, booking sales meetings and developing individual gap plans for crucial growth potential customers ensuring a structured and targeted approach.

Skills and Experience
As an energetic, high performing and experienced Sales Representative, you will be able to articulate how your authentic sales style and ability to close has led to your success so far. You’ll bring a capable, professional and driven approach, and it goes without saying that you’ll have excellent time management and communication skills. Other essential skills and experience include:
- Solid, proven sales experience across the board
- Enthusiasm and energy to make a difference in the market
- Strong business acumen and a strategic focus
- Paint industry knowledge is highly regarded but not a essential
