Your Role
This is one of the first hires into DuluxGroup’s in-house creative team, so it’s a pretty exciting time to join. You’ll play a key role in shaping how the brand speaks—across campaigns, content, and everything in between.
We’re looking for a writer who gets what it means to be authentic. Someone who can write for everyone from first-year tradies to award-winning architects, and knows how to make each message land. You’ll help build the brand, define the tone, and create work that feels fresh, smart, and distinctly Dulux.
Key Responsibilities
- Coming up with big ideas and sharp headlines that drive campaigns and shape how our brand shows up in the world.
- Rolling those ideas all the way through—from concept to execution—across everything from technical product content to internal comms, digital products, web, email, and more.
- Writing for a wide mix of audiences, from tradies to architects to internal teams, stretching your thinking and adapting your voice to suit.
- Helping evolve and elevate the tone of voice for one of Australia’s most iconic brands.
- Collaborating with designers, marketers, agency partners, and stakeholders across the business to bring creative ideas to life.
- Working on everything from campaign platforms to social content, always with a focus on clarity, craft, and impact.
- Keeping things moving across multiple projects and channels, without losing sight of the details.

Skills & Experience
- Over 6 years’ experience weaving words into compelling copy, preferably within creative studios or agency environments.
- An impressive portfolio that showcases your versatility, imagination, and knack for crafting engaging narratives.
- Exceptional skills in writing, editing, and conceptual thinking - you're as comfortable brainstorming big ideas as you are refining the details.
- In tune with the latest trends in language, culture, and digital creativity.
- Thrives in energetic, collaborative environments where ideas spark and creativity flourishes.
- Bonus points if you’ve dabbled in SEO, UX writing, content strategy, or creating for social media.
- Comfortable navigating CMS, social platforms, and email marketing tools - you’re always looking for the next creative channel.
