Your role
The Help & Advice Consultant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and consumers. This role involves efficiently processing claims and enquiries through various channels, including phone calls, emails, Live Chat, and social media. The consultant will engage with consumers at different points in their journey to create an emotional connection with Selleys brands (pertaining to Sealants, Adhesives and Fillers), ultimately driving sales and brand loyalty.
This is an opportunity with real variety. The role reports to the Help & Advice Manager and sits within the Marketing team at Selleys in Padstow. As a key member of our team, you'll have the ownership, training and support you need to succeed, both from your leader and your colleagues. This is a real consumer-focused role, so to succeed you’ll need to service orientated and have the confidence to deal with varying enquiries with ease. You’ll be joining a small, close-knit team so a positive approach to teamwork and flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer and consumer experiences by supporting them through every stage of their journey
- Identify and drive improvements related to complaints and capture data from interactions to share insights with the broader business
- Ensure compliance with safety and sustainability policies and procedures and actively contribute to a safe and motivated team environment
- Follow through on customer and consumer queries to satisfactory conclusions, adhering to KPIs for complaints management and accurately recording feedback
- Provide support for Sales and Marketing Teams at expos, events, and in-store, as required
- Self-manage workflow and time management, ensuring uninterrupted quality of advice and services across all channels

Skills & Experience
- Customer service experience, preferably in a call centre environment
- Trade background or experience with Sealants, Adhesives, and Fillers is desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and process-oriented
- Strong computer skills with experience in SAP or equivalent systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle difficult customers positively
- Problem-solving and resourceful mentality
