Your Role
B&D Group is creating a new Embedded Systems Engineer role to strengthen our embedded software capability within the Systems Electronics team. This role is primarily focused on designing, developing and maintaining embedded software on microcontroller-based systems used across our product portfolio.
While electronics experience is welcomed, this role is software-led. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we build embedded software—introducing modern development practices, CI/CD and automation in an environment where processes are still being developed rather than already mature.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain embedded software for MCU-based systems
- Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS) to deliver production-ready solutions
- Contribute to system-level design alongside electronics engineers across new and existing products
- Help implement and uplift modern software practices, including CI/CD and build automation
- Collaborate with engineering, product and manufacturing teams
- (Where capable) contribute to electronics / PCB design and reviews

What you'll bring
In this role, you’ll take ownership of embedded software development while contributing to system-level design and evolving how we build and deliver embedded products.
Essential
- Strong experience in embedded software development for microcontroller-based systems
- Hands-on experience with RTOS (platform not critical)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and build automation
- Strong autonomy and ability to drive work independently
Desirable
- Experience with motor control systems
- Exposure to BLE, Wi‑Fi or wireless communication technologies
- Experience with Nordic, STM32 or similar MCU platforms
- Electronics / PCB design capability (advantageous, not required)
Your Background
- Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or similar
- Industry background is flexible – experience is transferable from consumer electronics, automation, medical devices or related sectors
- Depth of capability and autonomy matters more than years of experience
