What You’ll Be Doing:

As Production Manager at our Wyong manufacturing site, you will lead day‑to‑day production operations across multiple shifts, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective manufacture of powders, liquids and cementitious products.

You will be accountable for delivering strong production performance by:

  • Embedding robust safety leadership and injury‑prevention behaviours into daily routines.
  • Leading your teams to achieve stable OEE performance, particularly on the powder line, while continuously reducing waste and variation.
  • Developing capable team leaders and operators who own their results and run the line with discipline and accountability.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cost, reliability and right‑first‑time quality.
  • Translating site objectives and improvement plans into clear daily priorities through effective visual management and tiered meetings (L1–L3).
  • Working closely with Planning, Quality and Engineering to improve schedule adherence, reduce rework and support commissioning of new or upgraded assets.

This role suits a leader who enjoys being visible on the floor, is comfortable balancing people leadership with operational detail, and wants to play a key role in lifting performance and culture at a site undergoing ongoing improvement and investment. Success in this role requires a leader who is comfortable being accountable for results and execution and committed to building strong routines.

Our Benefits:

  • Market leading learning, development and career pathways
  • 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) and 2 weeks partner leave from day one
  • Stay active anytime, anywhere through our partnership with Fitness Passport
  • Up to $1,000 net annually to cover private health extras gap costs
  • Exclusive discounts on DuluxGroup products and partner offers
  • Access to our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
  • Recognition programs that celebrate your impact

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven Production or Manufacturing Manager with experience leading multi‑shift operations in a process or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • A hands‑on people leader who builds capable team leaders, coaches in the moment and sets clear expectations for performance and behaviour.
  • A safety‑led operator who leads from the front, actively manages risk and integrates safety into the way work is planned and executed.
  • A commercially minded problem‑solver who uses data, root cause analysis and structured improvement to reduce waste, lift yield and improve reliability.
  • Experience driving or sustaining improvements in OEE, cost, quality and schedule adherence, not just reporting on them.
  • Someone comfortable operating in a changing environment — able to stabilise daily performance while also supporting new equipment, process improvements and site‑wide initiatives.
  • A collaborative leader who works constructively with Planning, Quality and Engineering, and takes ownership for outcomes rather than hand‑offs.
