Your Role 

As the Security Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering resilient and predictable security solutions that protect DuluxGroup’s digital assets, data, and operations. You’ll lead day-to-day security activities within the IT & Digital Enablement team, applying robust assurance and compliance frameworks to safeguard employees, customers, and third-party suppliers.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal technology teams and vendors to develop and implement effective security strategies. You’ll oversee monitoring and management of critical security assets, strengthen policies, respond to threats, and resolve technical faults. Your leadership will ensure security operations are risk-based, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with positive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the Security Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while contributing to broader security strategy.
  • Define and optimise operational processes, ensuring clarity, accountability, and efficiency across threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to co-develop security strategies that address emerging threats and drive integrated outcomes.
  • Champion the use of analytics and automation to enhance security tools, reduce operational risk, and maintain a comprehensive Service Catalogue.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats using established incident response playbooks, while analysing threat intelligence to manage vulnerabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating strong business alignment and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Skills & Experience  

  • Tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline, ideally with a focus on Cyber Security.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly regarded.
  • Proven experience leading security operations across key domains including incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, and alignment with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
  • Demonstrated capability in maintaining software and services with a strong focus on security.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing teams within a mid-sized technology environment, supporting a broad range of technologies, applications, and third-party service providers.
  • Solid understanding of modern cyber threats and vulnerabilities, with practical experience in risk assessments and security governance.
