What You’ll Be Doing
This full-time permanent position as a Trade Sales Representative for Dulux Paints is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a energetic, hardworking individual to join the North Auckland Trade Sales Team. This is a fantastic role for someone who wants a fresh start in a new career and is motivated and driven for success or someone who has previous experience and is looking to join an industry leader.
You will manage a portfolio of clients with your key focus to be growing and maintaining the existing Dulux customer base. Primarily you will be responsible for our Trade Painters through multiple sectors within construction, however there will be opportunity for you to grow your customer base with out of the box thinking. Much of your day can be spent out in the field, but this is a highly autonomous role, so professionalism & a high level of communication are skills you possess.
The Dulux Trade Sales Teams are passionate about being consumer driven and customer focused. We ask, listen, learn and act to help our customers win.
The territory for this role is central Auckland, North Shore up to Albany. Living in one of these locations is preferred.

- Build strong relationships with builders, top-tier painters, and key market influencers
- Collaborate with internal networks and stakeholders to maximize market impact
- Own pricing strategy in a competitive, customer-driven environment
- Leverage CRM and data insights to guide team performance
- Drive specification success through strategic collaboration and project targeting

What we're looking for
- Sales experience preferred but not essential
- Industry/paint experience not critical—we can train you on this!
- Experience engaging with tradespeople, painters, or construction sector is highly beneficial
- Minimum 3 years of direct field sales preferred but open to candidates
- Ability to effectively manage customer relationships, build rapport and collaborate with key stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communications and a high level of business acumen
