About the Role

Join the DuluxGroup as our National Contracts Manager and drive growth nationally by securing contractual agreements within the New Group Housing/Commercial construction companies, Aged Care & Education providers and National Corporates through contract and tender management.

Working with your direct and collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as our trade leadership team, sales and marketing team; you will ensure contractual commitments are met by all parties. You will further grow our portfolio by building strong relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and implementing commercial contractual agreements with a range of stakeholders.

Your key focus areas will be:

  • Developing and executing a range of activities targeted at developing contractual agreements
  • Leading all aspects of contractual negotiations and securing new commercial partnerships
  • Building and developing organisational relationships across DuluxGroup businesses
  • Deliver sustainable commercial agreements
  • Proactively seek to develop relationships in the commercial building and construction sectors
  • Seek new opportunities and maintain a high profile within the industry

Skills and Experience

This is a pivotal role which requires strong commercial acumen, sales & customer focus and the ability to drive operational execution. You will have a track record of building long-term relationships with customers, identifying mutual growth opportunities, and delivering exceptional results.

To be successful you’ll demonstrate outstanding people and relationship building skills. You’ll have strong communication as well as analytical skills complemented by efficient negotiation abilities. We are seeking someone with strong commercial acumen but be able to roll up your sleeves when needed.

Other key skills and experience include:

  • A background in providing building supplies into the NZ commercial construction sector
  • Experience in contract, tender management, or sales management
  • Proficient with CRM tools
  • Ability to lead, motivate, influence persuade and develop customers
  • Negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to network, clear understanding of commercial process and key industry players
