Your role:

We’re seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trade Business Development Manager who thrives on hunting for new business and reactivating dormant trade accounts. In this role, you’ll proactively pursue new opportunities, engaging daily with trade painters in person and over the phone to generate leads and drive customer success. This role services the Southwestern NSW region.

You’ll also assess trade painters’ activities to uncover sales potential, evaluate the scope of work, and convert these opportunities into Dulux business. As part of our team, you’ll benefit from the autonomy and support needed to succeed, backed by dedicated leaders and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development by tailoring Dulux’s value propositions to support profitable growth
  • Engage daily with trade painters, both in person and over the phone, to generate sales opportunities and support their success
  • Communicate trade painter activities regularly with local Trade and Inspirations stores
  • Understand key business drivers for trade painters, including estimating, quoting, cost management, productivity, and marketing
  • Build and maintain strong business-to-business relationships with individual accounts

Skills & Experience

  • Proven skills in new business development and account management
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sustained sales growth and delivering financial success
  • Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships across various levels
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and results-focused; trade or sales experience is an advantage
