What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Business Development Manager – Brisbane North, you will be responsible for creating new business opportunities, driving sales, and increasing profitable market share for the Dulux Trade business. You’ll focus on growing low-spend and low-wallet-share customers, as well as acquiring new trade accounts within the decorative paints market. This hands-on role involves building strong relationships with trade painters, commercial painting contractors, and other key accounts, providing solutions from the full DuluxGroup decorative portfolio. You will execute call plans, engage in face-to-face customer interactions, cold call potential clients, and develop strategies to target competitor customers. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role requires travel across the dual-area territory and a focus on driving revenue growth, cross-selling opportunities, and customer loyalty.

What We’re Looking for:

  • Experience in business development or sales within a trade-facing environment
  • Proven ability to create and develop strong customer relationships and grow accounts
  • Experience adapting selling techniques to meet customer needs and solve complex issues
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with a results-driven focus
  • Knowledge of paints and coatings is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to identify customer commercial drivers and target sell effectively
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the Brisbane North and Sunshine Coast territory
