Your Role
The Test Engineer is a hands‑on engineering role responsible for product testing, validation, and test facility co-ordination. The position combines practical, workshop‑based testing with engineering analysis and structured test planning and clear documentation. It plays a key role in both new product development and the continuous improvement of existing products within a dynamic and evolving environment.
As a Test Engineer, you will contribute to building greater capability, structure, and rigour across the test function while remaining adaptable, pragmatic, and responsive to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Execute hands-on product testing, including validation, endurance, and failure testing
- Build, modify, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and test setups
- Support DFMEA, DVP&R, and test plan development
- Investigate failures and perform root cause analysis
- Play a lead role in daily operation of the test facility, lab, and equipment
- Maintain safety standards, housekeeping, and 5S practices
- Coordinate contractors and external testing activities

What we're looking for
Skills and Experience
You’re practical and curious. Working with the Product Integrity & Testing team . You like understanding why things fail and take pride in a well-run facility and safe ways of working.
You’ll likely bring:
- An engineering qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, machinery, or similar technical environments
- Experience with testing, validation, or working with complex mechanical systems
- A balance of structure and flexibility – able to work with evolving processes
- A proactive, ownership mindset and strong attention to detail
