What You’ll Be Doing

We're looking for an exceptional people leader to take ownership of a national field sales team across New Zealand. Reporting into the Selleys Country Manager, you'll be responsible for developing capability, lifting performance and creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement. This role leads a team of 8 field representatives located throughout New Zealand and requires regular travel to coach, support and develop the team in-market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a national field team
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability and growth
  • Use sales data and reporting to identify opportunities and improve results
  • Conduct regular field visits, ride-alongs and coaching sessions
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Key Account teams to execute business priorities
  • Lead sales meetings, cycle planning and team development initiatives
  • Champion CRM discipline, reporting and execution excellence

You've built a reputation as a leader who gets the best out of people. You know how to challenge, support and inspire teams to achieve more, while holding clear expectations and creating an environment where people thrive. Whether your background is FMCG, retail, trade or another customer-facing industry, we're interested in your leadership impact above all else.

  • Proven experience leading and developing sales or field-based teams
  • Strong coaching capability with a track record of lifting performance
  • Experience managing performance and having courageous conversations
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • High energy, resilient and results-focused leadership style
  • Auckland-based and willing to travel nationally
