Domestic Service Assistant

About the Role:

Our Domestic Services Assistants provide practical help to make everyday living easier and more comfortable e.g. cleaning, laundry and household help. They are pivotal in making a difference and fulfilling our vision and mission. As part of our team, you will be dedicated to serving our community with both friendliness and professionalism. The role of a Domestic Services Assistant is one of trust and responsibility.

We have work available in Melbourne's Western suburbs, especially the Melton area, working weekdays between 8am and 5pm.

Key Points:

• Make a difference to an older person's life
• Flexible work hours - the majority of hours can be worked between 9 am and 3 pm

Key responsibilities:

• Intensive cleaning (bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dusting, skirting boards etc)
• Mopping and vacuuming floors
• Changing linen
• Sorting cupboards 
• Online shopping
• Washing & folding personal clothes
• De-cluttering 
• Intensive ‘spring cleaning’ services

Experience & Skills:

• Must be able to travel from home to clients in areas listed above
• Previous experience working in the cleaning industry and/or providing domestic assistant is preferred but not essential as full training provided 
• Full drivers licence and use of a roadworthy vehicle
• Must be available to work weekdays (as we are not open and do not provide services on weekends and public holidays)
• Able to work school holidays
