Your main responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure seamless service and the consistent delivery of high-quality cuisine for prestigious events including weddings, social functions and corporate engagements.
- Maintained exemplary standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene while contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment.
- Collaborated effectively with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dishes with precision, efficiency and creativity in high-pressure service settings.
- Assist with kitchen inventory control, stock rotation to support operational efficiency.
- Contributed to the development, mentoring and training of junior team members including apprentices supporting the growth of future culinary professionals.
Your attributes:
- Highly organised with the ability to plan, prep and execute multiple events simultaneously.
- Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during large-scale or time-sensitive service.
- Adaptable and flexible, thriving in fast-paced and ever-changing event environments.
- Experience working to tight timelines while maintaining consistency, quality and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and events.
Your experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef
- Previous experience working within events, catering or banqueting kitchens is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills with experience in pre-production, bulk preparation and event execution.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation across relevant sections.
- Ability to run a kitchen section independently during service.
- Experience working in high-volume and/or high-end service environments.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Experience with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.
- Willingness to train and support junior kitchen staff.
