Where heritage meets bold innovation.
For more than 55 years, Doltone House has been at the heart of Sydney’s hospitality and events landscape—where family tradition meets innovation, and where a passion for service creates unforgettable experiences. Today, that legacy has evolved into Doltone Hospitality Group (DHG), a multifaceted powerhouse delivering hospitality excellence across major venues, iconic cultural institutions, immersive dining precincts and international markets.
From the Sydney Opera House to Customs House, Sydney Town Hall, Darling Island and Jones Bay Wharf. From the innovative 3,000sqm Hay St Market to our new hospitality ventures at the redeveloped Sydney Fish Market—DHG continues to redefine experiences across the city’s most visited destinations. Beyond Australia, our Ovation brand delivers world-class hospitality to stadiums, hospitals, schools and corporate environments across New Zealand and now Sydney.
As Doltone Hospitality Group enters an exciting new phase of growth and expansion, we are appointing a Head of Digital Marketing to shape our digital vision, drive performance and help position the business for long-term success.
As Head of Digital Marketing, you will lead the organisation’s digital strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, elevating brand presence and strengthening customer engagement across a diverse portfolio of hospitality, retail, education and events businesses. Reporting into the GM of Marketing, this is a leadership role where performance, innovation and customer insight come together.
You will ensure marketing investment delivers measurable returns, driving growth and strengthening the organisation’s leadership in the hospitality, retail, events sector and education. Working across business units, you will lead digital transformation and deliver integrated campaigns that enhance customer experience and commercial performance
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute integrated media buying strategies across digital and selected traditional channels, ensuring strong return on marketing investment (ROMI).
- Drive SEO excellence, improving search visibility and organic growth across all venues and brands.
- Set the strategic direction for all digital performance channels, including paid search, programmatic, social and display advertising.
- Oversee the ongoing optimisation of websites and eCommerce platforms, enhancing user experience, conversion rates and booking pathways.
- Ensure best-in-class implementation and continuous improvement of platforms such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and marketing automation tools.
- Own CRM and guest engagement strategies, using customer data and segmentation to deliver personalised campaigns that increase loyalty, retention and revenue.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape visitation and engagement strategies aligned to commercial objectives and brand positioning.
- Provide expert digital marketing guidance to influence broader business strategy, campaign planning and execution.
- Collaborate closely with Guest Experience and Technology teams to enhance the end-to-end digital customer journey and ease of booking.
- Champion compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry best practices across all marketing activity.
- Manage marketing budgets with discipline and transparency, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with business performance goals.
Your skills and experience:
- Proven performance marketing expertise across media planning and buying, with a strong command of data-driven attribution, paid search, SEO, paid social and digital display.
- Commercially minded and results-focused, able to clearly connect marketing investment to revenue growth, profitability and business outcomes.
- Deep digital fluency, with experience optimising direct-to-consumer booking pathways—ideally within hospitality, events, or experience-led brands.
- Highly analytical and insight-led, confident using customer data and performance metrics to challenge assumptions and guide smarter decisions.
- Strategic growth mindset, identifying scalable opportunities and driving initiatives that fuel both short-term performance and long-term brand strength.
- Collaborative and influential, partnering cross-functionally to align marketing activity with broader organisational goals.
