The Role

Discovery Parks, Onslow is a busy property offering accommodation and full dining facilities to our work stay guests.

This is a live in position with FREE accommodation and meals provided.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation of a commercial kitchen.

  • Develop and design innovative menus tailored to client requirements.
  • Prepare and present dishes with consistency and excellence.
  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen including, stock and wastage control, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting, and staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Positively lead, mentor, and manage culinary team.

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience as Head Chef leading a fast-paced, large scale kitchen 
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) 
  • Qualifications / certificates in HACCP, Food handling & Hygiene
  • A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture
