The Role
We’re seeking an Assistant Manager to support the leadership of a high‑performance workforce accommodation village located in the heart of Onslow. This is a fast‑paced, operationally complex Workstay environment supporting major projects, contractors, and business travellers across 254 rooms, a bustling dining and bar precinct, pool, facilities, and seasonal powered sites.
As the 2IC, you’ll be hands‑on across all departments by supporting the General Manager in day‑to‑day operations, leading teams, maintaining high service standards, and helping drive performance across the site. This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up, gain high‑level exposure, and play an integral role within a well‑supported regional operation.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the General Manager in the overall operation of the accommodation village
- Leading and supervising teams across housekeeping, front of house, back of house, and facilities
- Assisting with rostering, workforce planning, and performance management
- Helping oversee food service operations across dining and kitchen teams
- Maintaining safety, compliance, and presentation standards
- Building rapport with clients, guests, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Contributing to business performance through cost control, efficiencies, and operational improvements
- Acting as site lead during Manager absences
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in hospitality/accommodation management
- People leadership skills with a focus on training and development
- Exposure to food operations or commercial kitchens (highly regarded)
- Strong financial management and budget oversight experience
- Tech savvy with RMS experience or similar reservations systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-centric approach
- Flexibility and availability for weekend and after-hours shifts
Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance. Additionally, a valid Working with Children's Check specific to the state is required.
This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
