The Role

Ready to take your career to an island paradise? Discovery Resorts – Rottnest Island is seeking a Sales & Events Manager to grow and lead our corporate, conference, and private events business. With eco-tents overlooking Pinky Beach and a vibrant beach club at your fingertips, this is your chance to deliver unforgettable experiences in one of Western Australia’s most iconic destinations.

What you’ll do

  • Drive revenue by building strong relationships with corporate, leisure, and private event clients.
  • Create and deliver engaging event packages that showcase the best of Rottnest Island.
  • Oversee the end-to-end event process; from enquiry and sales through to execution and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and Reservations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Represent Discovery Resorts at trade shows, networking events, and industry showcases.
  • Manage budgets, P&Ls, and reporting to ensure profitable outcomes.

About you

  • Proven experience in event sales, hospitality, or conferencing with strong business development skills.
  • A confident communicator and networker with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Skilled in client relationship management, budgeting, and CRM systems.
  • Flexible, hands-on, and happy to roll up your sleeves to make events come to life.

This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
