Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon is looking for a dynamic Groups & Experiences Manager to take the reins of our entire activities, tours, and groups portfolio. From sunrise Rim Walks to astronomy evenings, weddings, incentives, and everything in between — you’ll shape the experiences people travel across the world to see.

The Role


As our Groups & Experiences Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 5 across activities, tours, and group event delivery
  • Designing, costing and launching unforgettable guest experiences
  • Delivering weddings, incentives, group series, school programs & conferences
  • Achieving revenue and profit targets for Groups & Experiences
  • Maintaining 90%+ guest satisfaction across all activities
  • Building strong relationships with Traditional Owners and Indigenous guides
  • Ensuring all tours meet safety, environmental and cultural compliance
  • Managing labour and operating costs within budget
  • Monitoring guest feedback & competitor offerings to drive improvement
  • Creating seasonal experience calendars and new signature experiences each year

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong experience in tourism, hospitality, events or activity operations
  • A proven track record growing group business (incentives, weddings, conferences)
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • High levels of cultural awareness and guest service excellence
  • Strong commercial skills — quoting, costing, P&L understanding
  • A current manual driver’s licence
  • NT Ochre Card (or ability to obtain)
  • Willingness to live remotely (accommodation & meals provided)

Bonus points if you also bring:

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities
  • Tourism/Event qualifications
  • Guiding or astronomy knowledge

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Kings Canyon. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
