The Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to lead day-to-day maintenance operations across the El Questro estate for the March 2026 season.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of maintenance personnel, coordinate daily tasks, respond to reactive issues, and ensure preventative maintenance is completed to standard across accommodation, staff facilities, plant and infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances people leadership with practical maintenance work in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team across ELQ sites
  • Allocate and prioritise daily maintenance tasks
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and contractors
  • Support asset care, reporting and job tracking systems
  • Assist with onboarding and training of maintenance staff

About You

  • Proven experience in a maintenance, facilities or trade-based role
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working in remote and physically demanding environments
  • Trade qualification or broad maintenance skill set highly regarded
  • Strong safety awareness and communication skills

This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
