The Role

This isn’t your average kitchen gig. At Kings Canyon, you’ll be part of a close-knit team serving travellers from all over the world. From buffet breakfasts and hearty staff meals to beautifully plated dishes in our restaurant, you’ll get variety, responsibility, and the chance to sharpen your skills while living in an unforgettable location.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
  • Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Leading a section of the kitchen and mentoring junior staff.
  • Assisting with menu planning, stock rotation, and maintaining food safety standards.
  • Helping prepare bulk meals for staff dining as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a CDP or strong Commis stepping up.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens (remote or resort experience a bonus).
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and passion for producing quality food.

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Kings Canyon As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
