The Role
You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring all accommodation and public areas are maintained to the high standards of the Discovery brand.
This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience in a remote resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation across all accommodation types and common areas
- Support daily housekeeping operations and team coordination
- Ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Train and mentor team members where required
- Manage time effectively to meet operational deadlines
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards
Skills & Experience
- Experience in resort, hotel or commercial housekeeping environments
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Clear verbal communication
- Sound decision-making ability
- Coaching or mentoring experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to delegate tasks and maintain quality outcomes

This role involves manual handling, including lifting up to 20kg, kneeling, squatting and the use of cleaning chemicals and machinery.
