Relief Park Manager – Australia Wide

Are you an experienced park manager who’s fully mobile, flexible, and ready to step in wherever help is needed? We’re looking for a true relief professional — someone who can travel to any of our Discovery Parks across Australia, often at short notice, and support our teams on the ground.

About the Role...

This is a casual, on-call position suited to someone with full flexibility and mobility.

Please note:

  • Casual role – no guarantee of regular work
  • Paid only while on assignment
  • Travel costs to and from your home base and the park are covered (flights or driving)
  • Accommodation provided during assignments
  • Assignments vary in duration – from a couple of weeks to a few months
  • May be required at short notice
  • Locations can be anywhere across Australia

Responsibilities while on assignment include but are not limited to:

  • Lead daily park operations, including after-hours callouts
  • Deliver outstanding guest service
  • Support and guide teams to maintain service and operational standards
  • Communicate clearly with permanent park managers and complete thorough handovers
  • Follow established park procedures and systems
  • Assist with rostering, recruitment, and basic HR tasks
  • Oversee park budgets and compliance with WHS and brand standards
  • Complete office administration and reporting using RMS or similar systems

About You...

Due to the nature of the relief role it's essential you have the flexibility and mobility to travel to any of our parks. We have parks Australia wide including remote locations and in National Parks.

It is best suited to those without location restrictions, or fixed travel plans.

  • Solid experience in park or accommodation management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable following established park processes rather than implementing change
  • Proven experience in managing, developing and training staff
  • Good with systems, including RMS, reporting, and operational detail
  • Mobility to travel (occasionally at short notice) to different locations, including remote areas
  • Flexibility to work at our properties for varying durations from a couple of weeks to a few months.
  • Current driver’s license essential

Why work for us...

Being part of Discovery’s national relief pool means you’ll experience a variety of parks, locations, and teams — no two assignments are the same. It’s an opportunity to make a real impact where support is needed most, all while exploring some of Australia’s most unique and beautiful destinations.

We also offer:

  • Competitive salary package – paid while on assignment
  • Accommodation and utilities included during each placement
  • Travel costs covered (flights or KM reimbursement)
  • Discounts on stays at over 300 G’day holiday parks across Australia
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program
  • The chance to experience different regions and cultures while doing what you love
