The Role

The Social Media Coordinator will play an integral role in crafting engaging content and executing the social content framework across multiple platforms, expanding our presence through building and nurturing an engaged and active digital community. Reporting to G’Day Group’s Social Media Specialist, you will work in collaboration to schedule, drive and co-create content to engage our growing community. You will generate and analyse scheduled reporting to gain insights to support the business moving forward.

To be successful in this role, you will be naturally curious and possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’Day Group.

This role will require you to:

·      Co-create, plan and implement the social media content calendar for always-on communication and engagement through our channels in line with marketing strategy and content distribution best practice

·      Schedule content for a variety of social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

·      Actively contribute to the annual content strategy and calendars using both inspirational, aspirational, and real moments as key content to inspire consumers to move down the conversion funnel

·      Generate and analyse weekly and monthly reports on our Social Media activity performance and impact, whilst underpinning recommendations based on these insights to help drive the business forward.

Your Experience

You will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related study along with 1-2 years of social media management experience, ideally in the tourism or hospitality industry. You are highly organised and pride yourself on time management with the ability to pivot your social strategy on short notice. You stay on top of customer and digital trends that can influence content engagement, possess a strategic mindset and natural desire to problem solve. Being an avid content creator personally with experience using Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable.

You have strong knowledge and experience in using various social media platforms and tools, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Meta Business Manager and GMB. A track record of executing content ideas from end to end, have supported teams in executing marketing campaigns, experience in crafting engaging and on-brand social media copy through storytelling, and an ability to make data-driven decisions are a must.

Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You work well under direction and will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
