Plant Manager

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic Concrete Plant Manager to join the team at Adbri Concrete at Thebarton, SA.

This is a full time permanent role, which reports to the Concrete Operations Manager. This is your opportunity to become an integral team member at one of Australia’s leading construction materials producers and contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service and quality products from day one.

You will be responsible for ensuring that operational plans, objectives and site requirements are met across multiple plants, to ensure that plant and equipment are operated at optimum cost, highest availability, safely and without environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational equipment is of a safe and efficient standard through effective maintenance
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures surrounding operational standards
• Work to reduce operational costs while ensuring products are safely manufactured to the required quality standards
• Monitor and maintain HSE, quality and maintenance systems
• Ensure compliance with, and communication of all health, safety and environment requirements
• Support and develop collaborative relationships with other areas of the business
• Provide supervisor, mentoring and training to plant employees

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Experience in a manufacturing, mining or production environment, concrete industry experience beneficial
• Be able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
• A customer service focus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with computerised batching systems essential
