We are currently looking for an experienced, hands-on HSEQ Advisor, who is passionate about leading and instilling a safety-first culture. This role will join our team in delivering critical water infrastructure upgrades for Urban Utilities across South East Queensland.
The HSEQ Advisor will lead and support teams through embedding Diona’s leadership pillars and provide feedback to ensure continual improvements of HSEQ deliverables. Overall, the HSEQ Advisor will assist with maintaining standards through the oversight of operations for the required project.
Diona is engaged to provide design and construction services for Urban Utilities water infrastructure including trunk and reticulation water mains, reservoirs and facilities. Diona is the sole delivery partner in the northern region including Lockyer Valley, Somerset Council and Brisbane CBD on a six year collaborative framework agreement.

Not one day is the same. At Diona you will;
- Lead and support a positive HSE culture through visible leadership.
- Ensure all project operations comply with applicable legislative and contractual requirements.
- Provide support, coordination, and advice on HSE practices, systems and procedures.
- Work on a variety of construction sites covering trunk and reticulation water mains, reservoirs and facilities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, including occasional part- to full-time night work.
- Travel regionally across South East Queensland.
Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:
- 3+ years of operational experience in the application of HSE management principles in the construction/Utilities industry (Water/Sewer)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in WH&S
- Demonstrated experience in risk management
- Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor is desirable
- A high level of written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
