Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. We aim to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups, and those most in need. DHSV is funded by the State Government to provide clinical dental services to eligible Victorians. As trusted advisors in public oral health policy and program and guideline development, we continue to contribute to improving oral health in our communities.
About the role:
The portfolio of the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) provides financial leadership via budgetary and financial management, forecasting, business modelling and analytics. The portfolio of the CFO also provides logistics, facilities and technical services support.
Within the portfolio, there are three profiles which the Assistant Accountants rotate through to broaden and enhance individual skills and simultaneously strengthen the organisations abilities within the portfolio. The profiles are:
- Assistant Management Accountant
- Assistant Financial Accountant – General Ledger
- Assistant Financial Accountant – Reporting
The Assistant Accountant will ensure that DHSV continues to have strong business processes in the delivery of our accounting responsibilities. While it is expected that the positions will give support and assist management in the decision-making process, the position will not be responsible for making decisions relating to operational and financial issues.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, accounting, or a related field.
- Fully qualified member of CPA, CA or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities/projects in fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in relationship building, collaborating, and managing the expectations of key stakeholder groups.
