We are looking for current Dental Assistants or Oral Health Clinicians who are ready to gain their Certificate III in Dental Assisting while working at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.
This accelerated traineeship combines hands-on experience with online education allowing you to build your skills, achieve a nationally recognized qualification, and continue making a difference in patient care - all while getting paid.
The position is ongoing, with the course component running from 21 September 2026 through to March 2027, after which you'll continue working at RDHM as a qualified Dental Assistant.

About the role
You will support clinicians at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne.
This includes preparing and maintaining clinical rooms and instruments, supporting patient communication, and contributing to safe, respectful, patient-centred care across General and Specialist services.
This role will be part-time with study days on Wednesday morning. Study will be conducted onsite at RDHM though our partners at Chisholm University.

About you
You will have at least 3 years of experience in the dental industry and an accredited first aid course. You communicate clearly, work well in busy clinical settings, and are thoughtful in how you support patients and colleagues.
