About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Specialist Paediatric Dentist to become an integral part of our dedicated Paediatric Dentistry team at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. You will play a pivotal role in providing a broad range of complex dental treatment to public patients. You will also be expected to provide leadership and provide support to dental auxiliaries, dentists, oral health therapists and specialists in training. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Be the Problem-Solver: Diagnose and treat the unique dental conditions kids face—whether it's a tricky social situation, early orthodontic needs, or something else in that little smile.
  • Team Up for Big Smiles: Collaborate with our amazing healthcare team to ensure every child gets the best care possible. Together, we make kids’ oral health our top priority.
  • Create Calm, Confident Kids: Create a soothing, happy space for kids to feel at ease—because let’s face it, a trip to the dentist should be as fun as it is healthy!
  • Lead the Way in Prevention & Education: We guide kids and their families in building strong oral health habits from the start—turning each visit into a fun, informative step toward lifelong healthy smiles. 

About you: 

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with DHSV’s Clinical Standards and Policies. 
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA Specialist registration. 
  • A valid up-to-date Employee Victorian Working with Children’s Check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
