We provide Victorians with quality oral health care through the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) and work collaboratively with other sectors to deliver oral health promotion programs to benefit all Victorians.  

About the role:  

The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne has a rare opportunity for a Dental Assistant, Cert IV in Radiology to join us in our Radiology Department.  

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Radiology team to provide patient-centred and high-quality customer service.  

You will get to work within a diverse organisation, and we recognise that our Dental Assistants are critical to the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and effective clinical care.  

Key Responsibilities Include:  

  • Provide operational support and guidance to the Team Leader Radiology to facilitate the efficient running of the department  
  • Participate in the quality assurance program and any ongoing assessment of protocols for the quality program and accreditation process  
  • Liaise with RDHM clinical staff and other department staff to support daily operation activities  

About you:  

  • Cert IV in Radiology ((OPG and Lateral Ceph) and;  
  • Cert III Dental Assistant  
  • Current Radiation Use License issued by Department of Health  
  • Able to work with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment  
  • A high level of knowledge on oral health procedures and treatments  
  • Strong experience in providing customer service  
  • Experience in establishing priorities, setting workloads, following through to meet deadlines  
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
