About the role:
As part of the leadership team of the Royal Dental of Melbourne (RDHM) within Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV), the Operations Manager is a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership to our Primary Care program.
In this role, you will have a broad scope of accountability, overseeing strategy implementation, financial performance, people management, and patient activity. As the team's "people leader," you will provide guidance and direction based on evidence-based best practices. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring that our staff actively engage with and support our organization's transformation towards value-based healthcare, enhancing the overall client and consumer experience.
This role will be responsible for:
- Leading clinical teams to ensure safe and high-quality patient-centred care that upholds organizational values.
- Fostering relationships within and outside the organization to promote inclusive, team-based, and multidisciplinary patient care.
- Collaborating with the Head of Unit Primary Care to deliver on the organisational goals in relation to the Primary Care program.
- Supporting compliance with clinical requirements and accreditation standards, maintaining a continuous quality improvement cycle.
- Leading and implementing change management processes in partnership with the Head of Unit Primary Care and key stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions to new service delivery models aligned with value-based healthcare principles.
- Providing strong leadership in effective management, talent acquisition, succession planning, and talent development within the Primary Care program. This includes coaching and partnering with direct reports to implement development plans and initiatives through feedback discussions.
About you:
- We are looking for a dynamic team player who excels in a collaborative work environment and enjoys working together to achieve shared goals.
- Experience in key business drivers and metrics, including financial and performance indicators, and staying updated on the latest developments in the health industry.
- Strong knowledge of resource management, budgeting, and financial aspects related to healthcare operations.
- Qualifications in health, hospital administration, public health, business management, or a closely related field.
- Postgraduate nursing qualification, along with demonstrated clinical experience (desirable)
- Extensive experience in building relationships, collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups, and effectively managing their expectations to achieve outcomes that benefit the organization.
- Proven track record in leading change and process improvement initiatives within a unionized environment, involving a diverse range of stakeholders.
